Introducing, our most sought after and best Danube rafting trip. It is designed for all ages, for swimmers and non-swimmers. You will surely like our rafting and believe that for many of you this will not be the last rafting trip on the Danube.
Experience pleasant relaxation and romance even during an ordinary day. The best of the Danube is just a stone’s throw from Bratislava. Rafting on the Danube is an unforgettable leisure experience and perfect relaxation after a day at work. From the river you have a completely different view of the familiar places and landscape around you than from the shore. Relax in the pleasant breeze with a view of Devín Castle, Bratislava and romantic pebble beaches.
Dates
We will arrange an individual appointment with you. It is up to you which date you choose, we will be happy to accommodate you.
Boats and safety
The rafting is done mainly in canoes, which we tie two by two, in stable, non-turnable catamarans and on spacious 7-seater rafts. Each group is accompanied by an instructor. Canoe tying into a catamaran has a great advantage for you. The vessel thus modified is stable and practically untranslatable. We usually put an instructor directly into the boat for the 7-seater rafts. Also popular is the sea kayak which features excellent stability and speed. Of course there is also a life jacket for each participant.
Program
- Meeting in our boating base in Karloveska Bay. Here you can leave your cars parked
- You will transfer to our prepared cars and we will move to the bay in Hainburg, Austria
- Thorough briefing and boarding assistance
- Practicing the handling of the vessels on the standing water in the bay
- Rafting down the Danube and drifting downstream to our base
- Arrival at the boating base approximately 3 hours from the start
Still on shore the boats are tied up, floating barrels, vests and paddles are handed out. A bit of theory and you’re good to go. Have you ever swum in the Danube? If not, during this float, with the Danube’s low water level, we can stop at a pebble beach and take a dip in the river. Don’t worry, there are plenty of beaches. We also stop near the confluence of the Morava and the Danube below the Devín castle cliff, where there is also a bay with swimming opportunities.
What should I take with me?
- Drinking regime
- swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, or head cover
- camera
Attractions
- The area around Hainburg was once the border of the Roman Empire. There are replicas of watchtowers and fences around the river.
- The Donau-Auen National Park is one of the largest floodplains on the Danube and one of the largest wetland areas of its kind in Central Europe.
- Devín Castle are the ruins of a Gothic castle occupying almost the entire top of the castle rock above the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers.
If you are very warm, you don’t even have to wait for the aforementioned beaches. Just jump off the boat. Sometimes you will be surprised how low the Danube can be.
